| Hemingway Room |
This beautiful first-floor room is furnished with a queen-sized replica of the bed Ernest Hemingway kept in his Ketchum, ID home.
Ernest Hemingway first came to Sun Valley, Idaho, as a guest of the newly-formed Sun Valley Company in 1939. That first year he and Martha Gellhorn stayed at the Sun Valley Lodge, nicknaming it "The Glamour Room". It was in that room that Hemingway finished his book "For Whom the Bell Tolls". He also established some of the lifelong friendships that would continue to draw him back to the area for 25 years.
This bedroom is located on the main level for our guests that don't want to climb the stairs and it boasts the only vaulted ceilings in the Inn.
Furnishings include the "Hemingway" bed, a writing desk, and a 27" flatscreen cable TV in an armoir. Beautiful views out the east and south face the grounds and tennis courts.
Other amenities include a walk-in closet, an alarm clock, and a hair dryer. The private en-suite bathroom features a shower and tub.
